Its our Birthday! Happy Birthday! 25 years young! Wet snow around the Base area, new snow from the top of Alta up. All main trails groomed over night, good skiing and riding. Variable off trail with spring like snow conditions. Please be aware of unmarked hazards and ski & ride with care. * Chairlift operations will be affected by wind today *

Sleet and snow showers around the base area, snowing moderately up top, gusty Northerly wind, strong at times, variable visibility. Todays forecast is for showers with strong northerlies, easing this afternoon.

25yrs in the making - The Remarkables celebrates today in 1980s style, get your retro gear on and come on up. Lots on for young and old, Chinese Downhill, Face Painting, Pass the Parcel, Lolly Scramble, and live music with the Jordan Luck band this afternoon. Junior inter-fields postponed until further notice. As always Spike & Shred, out at 10am and 1.30pm around the base area. Text remarks to 244 for the latest updates throughout the day.

Shadow Basin Quad Open May be affected by wind today. Great skiing on and off groomed trails. Some excellent off piste terrain to test your abilities on steeper slopes with obstacles to work around. Or just stick to the groomed intermediate groomed trails down through the bowl.
Sugar Bowl Quad On Hold May be affected by wind today. Casterway trail is all groomed, Water Race trail ungroomed but heaps of fun. Providing access to the Dirty Dog Terrain Park with a choice of the Big side kickers or a variety of features along the intermediate side.
Alta Chair On Hold On wind hold. Once off the chair at the top novice skiers and boarders have a 700m trail to work on your ability for imporvement.
Base Lodge Conveyor Open Ride up to the base lodge and get your day started. You will be hard pressed to find a better spot to learn to ski and ride.
Shorty Conveyor Open The perfect place to start your on snow experience. For Novice skiers and snowboarders.
Pump House Conveyor Open Once you have mastered standing up and walking on skis this lift provides access to ideal learning to turn terrain.
Ozone Tubing Park On Hold We have added a forth lane and its awesome FUN sliding down lanes in your own tube. The ride back up makes it easy. Bookings essential through Guest Services call 442 4908 to book.

Parks and Pipes

The Stash On Hold Everything in the Stash down to, and including the ur jour'Stash Hut' is shaped and ready to ride. Please ride with caution as you make yoney back to the chairs. Don't forget to check out the portable feature that move around from time to time.
Dirty Dog Terrain Park On Hold The BIG PARK' has been expanding over the past couple of days and we now have our big jump line in action which consists of 45ft & 35ft step down jump's. We also have one 20ft step down jump, a 'Hip/True Table', a Kickers/Bonk combo & 12 rail features including a 3 hit urban line. The park is looking mint so come check out the set up.
Parklife Halfpipe Closed Some grooming time has been spent working the snow in the area. More snow is needed to continue this process.
Tararua Iced Coffee Beginner Park On Hold We have switched up the TRIC beginner park, changing all the features from the top of Turquoise down the whole park run. We now have a total of 6 box & rail features, a small jump and a 'hip' jump. These features include a flat box, an angled plastic pipe, the butter box, a serpent box an up flat bok and a down box. This is a great freestyle set up for beginner & intermediate skiers & boarders so get in there & start practising.

The Remarkables Café Open The "Rastus Burn Coffee Bar" has had a makeover and in a new location, new seating and tables in the cafe and a fresh colour scheme throughout enhances the food and beverage experience this year.
Snack Shack Open For light refreshments and snacks as you ski on by!
